QUOTE In shock news for Swedes, Danes have been declared Scandinavia’s coolest people. Don’t believe us? Just ask veteran (Swedish) designer Johan Lindeberg http://cphpost.dk/culture/culture-news/“...ooler-swedes” |

I am around too many Finns to agree with that one but Danes are pretty cool.

He also says: QUOTE Danes are chilled when drunk, a bit like Italians or French, whereas Swedes get a bit uptight like the British.

QUOTE It is hard to generalise though because most Scandinavians are pretty trendy! One shouldn`t generalise, Swedes can be just as cool or more so then the Danes. The Danes can be just as uptight as the Swedes. Scandinavians can be trendy but also unfashionable. That`s just the way it is. |

I would agree here, certainly in the UK at the moment Denmark is very fashionable with Sweden behind. Not surprisingly here with the Killing on TV, Norma and Trine Hahnemann being frequently referred, PH-lamp lighting being very à la mode and remarks to the cycling and child care in the "Wood-burning-stove-people" press, Denmark is the pace to be. It make me want me to say "Jävla Danmark". (sticks tongue out across the Öresund, ) |

Now it appears that even a native Swede can't give a compliment to a neighboring country without it upsetting you... Danes rock! All the Danes I have met have been chilled and very welcoming. |

Now it appears that even a native Swede can't give a compliment to a neighboring country without it upsetting you... . Danes rock! All the Danes I have met have been chilled and very welcoming. Upset? Really? I can assure you that I`m not upset, I`m very indifferent in my emotions to any topic on here. Danes rock, Swedes rock, Fins rock and so on. But they can all be very uptight aswell. Most Danes I`ve met have been great and some have been horrible, nothing I feel a need to generalise or be upset about. The only feeling I might have is that of feeling tired. Tired of these threads with random quotes saying how some is better then the Swedes or someone saying that Swedes are cold. There aren`t any purpose to the threads they are just brought forward here by some with an agenda. |
