According to interbank exchange rates, the pound has momentarily dropped below 11.00 today and is currently trading at 11.02. With zero effort so far to solve the UK budget deficit so far and the SEK looking increasingly strong one wonders how far this will go.
Under 10.5 I guess is pretty much a certainty. |

Damn.
And here I was thinking it was awful in the low 11s. To think just last year I was upset when it wasn't pushing for 13... Lets hope the Swedes devalue themselves or the Brits do something or...something |

Actually its good for UK exports and the economy is doing better there. The economy in Sweden is suffering under a strong krona which hurts exports. If Greece and Ireland had their own currencies they could inflate their way out of the crisis too.
Strong don't equal better unless your a traveler, going from a strong to a weak currency nation. |

Yeah, thats why I'm hoping the Swedes will devalue their currency.
Usually through the economic crisis they were following Britain quite well, dropping along with it. This year though...nope, Britain is dropping whilst Sweden is standing steady. |

Since Riksbanken will most likely increase the interest rate the SEK will rather appreciate even more...

Since TPTB are saying they will raise rates I go with the 180 degree theory that they will do exactly the opposite of what the propaganda says they will do and keep them low for years and you have industry here begging them to devalue. Since Sweden like nearly all nations is a corporatist state on the fascist model they will do industries will unless it is against the interest of finance, the true master of the universe in these days since the ruby has taken complete command.

10.95 this morning.
What is the most worthless thing one can buy in Sweden for one Great British Pound? How about this...cucumbers cost SEK44 a kilo in my local shop. One cucumber weighs around half a kilo so for one Great British Pound you can buy half a cucumber. |
