We had Cigna refused. But the statement of why the coverage was refused was in contradiction to what was in the policy. This was the second refusal and Skatts sent our complaint to the court for them to decide, and heard nothing for 6 months.
They did not offer to provide a formal letter of exemption to not pay taxes on global income for residents of more than 12 months, yet how does one pay as a "resident", without a person number? I think Skatts will end up fighting themselves in court...
Apparently some cases have been accepted with Cigna policy, which argues the point that either there is no set instructions to follow, or it is up to the person handling your case to make a choice, which does help to argue the point of discrimination, or that guideline policy is an utter failure.
If you sort it, let the forum know. Cheers.

Well this is my first post in this forum and I've been facing the same dilemma for 4 months now. I'm non-EU citizen, married to an EU (French) citizen and have a 2 month old baby who's also French. My wife moved to Sweden in November 2016 and had to pay $4K for her health insurance and has been approved after a couple of arguments with her case handler. She got her health insurance from Integra Global (UK). Based on this I've purchased the same health insurance and moved to Sweden in April 2017 but I've been denied from getting the magical number for the 3rd time two days ago as they did not approve my health insurance, they literally said that approving my wife's health insurance was a mistake and they'd not do the same mistake again!

long story short; I have so far found only one company that gives health insurance coverage with no exemptions and this would cost around $16K\year so I have not even thought of going for it (can't remember the name of this company even but can look it up again if someone wants to know the name).

So I'd join the line waiting for an advice from anyone who has a solution for this!

Thanks

FYI
Cigna expat platinum is not good enough. My review for an application with this plan got rejected a few days ago. I will contact marriage without border and my SE lawyer friend for help.

Expected, actually it's SKV's default. I have been told by "one of" my case officers that she has never seen a private health insurance approved by them! this came after I insisted to know from them which company do they or did they accept.

I personally think that they have to say in their website that they do not approve private health insurances rather than putting unclear information on the type of private ones the accept and thus making people lose thousands of dollars! ... just sick of this and decided to stop playing this silly game and forget about the personnummer, residence card + wife's bank card is enough for now to survive!
