QUOTE (cogito @ 3.Mar.2012, 02:19 PM) *
Isn't it ironic to find this primitive reflex on a forum of (mostly) immigrants? My guess is that those hounding out New Kids suffer from SADS (Swedish Assimilation Denial ... (show full quote)

Birds of a feather flock together.

Sweden apart from the three major cities is just like every other sparsely populated community in my opinion.

Who are the new people? Do they have kids in the same school as ours? Will we see them at church? Will they sit with us beside the lake? Etc, etc...

If you pick up sticks and move wholesale to a new community you are the new kid on the block. (PERIOD)

Unless you are moving to a freaky commune or some religious cult do not expect everyone else in the community to come out and greet you with bells on their fingers and strings on their toes.

The onus is on you.

cogito, I am not pointing you out as an example but using your post to tack on some things I have wanted to say for a long time.

When we move from place to place it is difficult. The community members that we drop in upon without notice have to adjust. Unless we add value there should be no expectation of acceptance or being hoisted up on a chair and placed on a parade float and be treated to a ticker tape parade. TIME is not a substitute for value. If individuals are living off by themselves for 20 or 30 years with no interaction with other members of the community can they really say they are integrated members of that community? Is this the fault of the community or is this the fault of the individuals that chose to isolate themselves?

I see the push back here in Sweden to accept outsiders but it parallels my experiences in North American small towns.

Sweden is a good place to live.

Moving to a new country or a new town or city does not change who you are. Chances are if you were a lounge lizard and a popular person in your previous dwelling you probably will be a lounge lizard and a popular person in your new residence. If you were a stay at home, read a book by the fire in Yorkshire person you probably will be a read a book by the fire in Sweden person all by yourself here too.

We all have to blaze our own paths.

Life is what you make it.

Frankly outside of offering of a position as a Jockey I would really love a job working at a weather station well north of the Arctic Circle although my beautiful wife would probably hit me in the head with that heavy frying pan prior to my travels.

Hey Trow, since the end of the cold war I have become increasingly ambivalent towards Putin. Thoughts of Voltaire's words go through my head but I keep being reminded by the high crimes and misdemeanors of the oligarchs and Putin's KGB history and heavy handed bloody methods.

I see Putin as the West's convenient fallguy whenever anything needs fixing.

When the USS Toledo sank the Kursk, fearing that it had sunk its sister submarine the USS Memphis when it collided with the giant, allegedly unsinkable Russian one, spending all their time trying to make out that the Russians had sunk it. Putin was protrayed as the untested Russian leader who was not up to dealing with the dangers of the real world.

When Putin got Clinton to pay $10 billion in damages for the loss rather than using it as an act of war by Washington, the Western media missed it.

Then when Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned by former associate Andrei Sidelinkov on October 30, 2006 for threatening to blackmail all the Westerners who had spied for Moscow, especially Romano Prodi, London and Washington blamed it on Putin who had no worries about the former KGB agent who had helped foil the plot to catch Moscow by surprise with the Palme assassination.

And just look at the current election in Russia. If Putin went along with the warmongers in London, Washington, and Paris when it came to ousting Assad, he could have celebrated the victory with another grand purge, and little would have been said about it in the West.

The media have so bad-mouthed Putin that he can now be blamed for anything convenient.

Hi Byke.

It was kind of interesting.

Remember that poster sabretache who defended me against some of the posters here. Well, after I left, he had me join the Deep Politics Forum where I soon got in a fight with two of its leaders who pay the bills. One claimed, given my alleged Catholic and CIC background, that I must belong to the Knights of Malta, and the other denied that John Marks in his book about the search for the Manchurian Candidate had ever written anything which could pertain to the Agency trying to deep hypnotize him to kill JFK. This resulted sabretache aka Peter Presland help seeking successfully my banning.

But then the American woman running the flyingcuttlefish.picayune one reposted many of my articles, especially the ones about man-made disasters, the one I was writing about the Fukushima earthquake and tsunami before I got on to the Brits hacking my work. Fukushima looks like more handywork by the USS Jimmy Carter which caused again much more damage than anticipated.

Then Veterans Today asked me to become one of its columnists which resulted in its posting about three dozen of my articles, but then put the brakes on for fear that I would say too much new about 9/11, the Dallas and other recent assassinations, the 1994 Chinook helicopter sabotage of 29 British military and police agents in 1994, etc.

I told it a few days ago adieu.

So things are percolating quite well, thank you, and hope things are at least okay with you, knowing your tendency to look on the down side of things.

My health is fine, but my girl friend's has been bad since last July. She had a nonparalytic stroke then, and has slowly been recovering. She is now just about back to normal, but she tires quickly.

Trowbridge would use longer and more complex sentences with no conclusion.

Trow, on the phone she sounded just as lovely and exuberant as ever. I never would have realized that she had some hard knocks if I didn't read your post. Sorry to hear that but she does not let on any downside. I think you should keep her around for a bit longer... wink.gif That one is a keeper -Paul

Lets not start a this is not the real Trow conspiracy.

I am certain that this IS the real Trow, we all get more mellow as we get older.

I have actually been reading some of his pieces on Codshit and he has not lost any of his sharpness.

You have truly been missed Trow, even by your adversaries

If you notice, Trow's return coincides with Streja's confession of multiple personality disorder, eg "Brunette Babe 5", et alia...I say...how many others where there?

And, why not "Trow" now?

Did you also note the "sour" remarks she passed about Trow's coherency...what a way to protect a conspiracy...you detract from the person you pretend to be.

This is a classical cover ploy used by those that which to infiltrate our ranks and cause dissension among the peace loving and kind posters that so graciously inhabit this forum.

Can this danger be averted?

Is anybody here familiar with counter espionage activities?

Can we contract an "outsider" to deliver the proper and deserved cleansing?

More to follow.

Well who would have guessed? Why only last week I rather sadly came to the conclusion that the dearth of entertainment and stimulation which I gleaned from this forum no longer warranted my participation here and then by chance I happen to look in again and who should have resurfaced, but my old sparing partner Trowie!!

Well there you go! Perhaps night is indeed darkest just before dawn after all!

Anyway, welcome back THF. I'm sorry to hear about your other half and hope she recovers soon.

I must also say that I eagerly await your post regarding how you were hacked by News International. It will be a chance to be at the forefront (albeit vicariously) of a breaking media sensation as the criminal actions of NI have not yet been reported to have breached Swedish law as far as I am aware.

With references to quotes by the late, great Carl Segan; "Incredible claims require incredible evidence" as well as well as the also late, also great Christopher Hitchens; "That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence", I am sure that your claims will be well evidenced and independently confirmable so that we can all be assured of their veracity. But then I am sure that this is preaching to the converted when addressed to someone so concerned with unearthing the truth such as yourself.

Anyway, great to have you back and thanks for giving me cause to return from my self-imposed (although thankfully rather short) exile!!

/JJ

Your back what? What is good about his back? wink.gif

*hides under the table*

I always knew it was him anyway!

JJ and this latest Trow incarnation share the same sort of writing style and then JJ is away at the same time, a coincidence which is just what would have happened if mångk aka Sean Banan had infiltrated the CIA in what would not have been the return to covete operations inside Al Qaeda what would have prompted Obama to arrest Jihad Jane and install a clone taken from the lab that in 1986 created the Christer Pettersson clone who was the fall guy for Oliver North when he secretly invaded Värmdö mistaking it for Lidingö trying to capture me and copy my CD roms.
