Farewell for now, good luck, but as the saying goes a change is as good as a rest. It freshens things up.

Good luck, but why would A Dutchman be against cutting down the trees?
How else are you going to make all those clogs and windmills? |

Tot ziens en veel geluk. I really hope that you find what you need back in NL.
I really understand being away from an aging mum - mine lives on and island off the UK where if you are not taxed or born there you can not go currently (I am neither). However I hated living on that island as a young adult so would not ever consider going back. I loved living in NL and if I decided to ever leave Sweden I would want to go back there it was the first place I ever really considered home. |

QUOTE After 8 years in Sweden it is time to say goodbye and move back home. Unlike the majority of posts on this forum, this was a fascinating insight into your perception of Sweden during the last 8 years. Thanks for taking the time to write it. |

I'm a little sad my country's not going to welcome a nice person like you , but I'm happy you're jumping into a new adventure - even on well known, old ground.
It was always a pleasure reading you, Cootje! Wish you all the best. |

Hello Rita, Even though we are not moving to Italy, we decided to use the profit from the sale of our properties here to look for a holiday home in Umbria, since it is such a lovely area, and when I showed the wife the YouTube clip you send, she was sold. So you might see a Dutchie coming by there ocacionally! |

Lucky bastard. I wish I could live this racist place How is Sweden racist? I am honestly asking you this. You can say they discriminate against foreigners but that isn't the same as racism. As a nation they are not racist in the way Italians are, for example. |

Very nicely written @cootje! Adios and good luck back home!
I am going on my 6th year here in Sweden over two periods, and still loving it lets see how long this stint lasts. I am in love with travel, nature & wildlife/birding - so far the work-life balance that Sweden offers me helps me indulge myself quite well. |

Try being a black man driving a car in the USA, they'll just stop you and shoot you for the heck of it.
