Good afternoon
![]() I've been in a huge battle with University Admissions regarding a document for 2 months now. They are not being helpful at all, so I'm going to take a shot and check if anyone here can help me in this. I completed high school two years ago in Portugal. Last year, I decided to move in with my Swedish family and study in Sweden. Just like every other student, I applied via the University Admissions' website and followed the special instructions for my country, giving them every document they needed. They only requested an ID document, an English proficiency test (I sent them my IELTS) and my Certid?o de Habilita??es, a high school certificate that shows the units and its correspondent grades. No big deal. However, in the middle of March, they requested a "transcript of grades" that is never mentioned. I called them to ask what is that document like, since I never heard of such. Seemingly, it's a document that has the units, grades, and also the number of hours I studied each subject. Immediately after finishing the call with University Admissions, I called my school to request that document. That was when I learned that those documents are not issued in Portugal ![]() I called University Admissions around 20 times by now. I called my school even more. I've been researching and researching, hoping to find a document that satisfied what they ask for. Nothing. Yesterday, once again, I called UA asking if there is any alternative to the transcript, only to be told there isn't and I should've checked my country requirements (but nothing of such is mentioned there?!) . I don't know what to do at this point. I got deleted in all my options in the first round and just got unqualified on my top choice on the second one. Does anyone know what is going on and what to do? Can anyone help me in this? |

Hey!
I am guessing you are applying for your bachelor studies in Sweden? This is what I found.. https://www.universityadmissions.se/en/All-...untry/Portugal/ If your certificate was in Portuguese , I hope you got it translated officially before submitting it. Also, transcripts are usually only given my universities/colleges. Are you enrolled in any college? or have been? If you had mentioned that, they might have been asking for those.. Hope I helped ![]() All the best |

Hello,
I've been in your situation before. UA will never change their requirements, So the thing is that you have to get the document from your school/university. |

It sounds like to me the certidao de habilitacoes IS exactly what a transcript is... Same thing, different name. I don?t know what you?ve done so far but I think you need to really stress to them that it is a transcript, it?s just called something different when translated from Portuguese. Swedes will adhere so strictly to the rules that even when it is obvious what you gave them is a transcript, they will never understand unless it says exactly how they want it, even if that is impossible. They are a thick bunch. So all I suggest is be firm and make them realize that what you gave them is a translated transcript even if it is called something different. |
