Have they been lured away to a happier place???

The community as you know it has been long gone. No more drinks on a Friday bight, no more bantering and no more community spirit.
Still don't worry the students will be back in august. This forum has been dead for some time now.

Interesting the comparison of this forum with Toytown Germany...

Are there German "bashers" as dedicated to "bashing" as the Swede "bashers" here???

No, there is the occasional complaint about bureaucracy - but in general people seem to be happy.

The forum is better organised. Some people went to a lot of effort to create posts covering all the usual questions that an immigrant may have - health insurance for example.

There are more meet-up groups, general discussions. I don't recall seeing anyone asking questions about immigration procedures like the continuous flood here. TBH - if someone did ask I suspect they would be told to do their own research. Fools are not suffered gladly!

But anyone moving to Germany knows they have to learn the language to get a job. Whereas Sweden seems to attract muppets who think they can get a job using English.

I get the feeling that Sweden attracts those who believe that the grass truly is greener in Sweden than anywhere else and are totally unprepared for life's realities away from home... sad in a way...

Would agree.

Moving house
Changing job
Learning a language
Adapting to a different culture
...

Individually all require research, work and time, not to mention for some can be stressful.
Try doing all of them at once and it's simply not happening for some people, that is when folk look for something to blame, Sweden!!

I haven't been around on the site for very long, so I have no idea how it used to be..

That said, you guys used to meet up for drinks? That's cool. I've made a few friends here in Sweden from video games, we meet up and hang out. Unfortunately most of them are 16-19 lol. So it feels a bit weird meeting up with kids being 30 years old myself. If anyone is in the G?vle area and wants to grab a beer, let me know.

So despite you beeing mission critical for the company that employs you, since you are paid more, more productive, the things you produce beeing of higher quality than those of your colleagues and you bringing in loads of customers you are allowed to leave work for months on end?

Its been really good without you here. Some intelligent posts and no one calling people stupid names. What I don't understand is why couldn't you post from China, forgot things are censored there so your rants wouldn't get through. As far as kicking people, you couldn't kick yourself out of a paper bag.
