They fear that they will be slaves

So Indian farmers won't have any of this market economy and unregulated competition so they are staging mass protests. They fear that crop prices will collapse and small family sized farms won't be competitive. Funny how that is just what TCS, HCL, WiPRO and Infosys has done to the labor markets for engineers and programmers in the rest of the world. Not as fun when it's on your home turf, now is it?

The farmer protest in India, is similar to this farmer protest that happened in Sweden and for similar concerns - but scale is 100x bigger and the Govt there is an SD-type far-right Govt who is in the pockets of the corporates.

Swedish migration board itself functions like a big market barrier towards Indian IT companies *flooding* the Swedish market with *labor* - that doesnt happen even in USA and UK where work visa regimes are far more liberal than EU.

But yes, competition from these Indian IT companies is fierce and *native Swedes* have to shape up if they want to get hired by them wink.gif

More liberal? You are joking right? There is a hard annual cap on the number of H1Bs issued every year, and the company has to at least make an effort to make it look like they can't find a native. Is this a demonstration of your superior Indian intellect?

USA H1B annual visa cap > 65000
Additional 20000 H1B visas for local Master's graduates
And NO LIMIT for L1 visas, which is the one used by US based companies to move employees across countries.

Sweden was only able to attract 2551 tech employees from India during 2020, we need at least 10x more to Make Sweden Great Again in the Tech industry!
