I have my wisdom tooth pulled in Stockholm and I can't remember the price as I was so so stressed, I over re-acted. It really was painless getting it removed.
Good luck anyhow! Mark x |

Ordontologen are fabulous, but you might have to get referred there (and waiting list is long). If you wanted to be knocked out when they did it this is the place to go, I think.

I live in Alingsas but also have an appt in Gothenburg (avenyn area) so either area is fine if the doctor is nice and can speak some english.

I think it would be best to do it in Alingsås as there won't be as many queues...! Go to Folktandvården in Alingsås and ask for an interpreter as you have the right to one. |

If you don´t object, can you come back and say what the damage was (financially, though dentally may also be advisable)?
I´m thinking of getting my wisdom teeth out myself. Might sell them for beer. |

Oh hey whatever you do, avoid AkutKliniken on, um, a road just off Stampgatan. Worst mistake I ever made (dentally speaking anyway) was getting lost and wandering in there. Although it did traumatise me so much that I couldn't eat solids for a week, and thus kicked off my weight loss.

i eventually went to the Akuttandvården (Odinsgatan 10 close to the central train station in Gothenburg) since it was the only emergency place i could find last afternoon.
Didnt have it extracted since it was irritated so i got 10days antibiotics after some cleaning they did localy on the wisdom tooth. Might not even have to get rid of if it doesnt bother me again as they said (cross fingers). The visit costed me SEK830ish cause it was an evening one. Daytime ones cost around SEK500. They were really nice and everyone spoke english which was the most important to me as i am new here and still learning. After i warned them that i am not so brave they explained every step of what they did to make me feel comfortable. Hope this helps anyone who is in a situation like mine I must admit sometimes reading these forums i get so scared of being in this country and i get a very negative feeling that nothing can be easily done for non-swedish people but everytime i go and face the situations myself i love it here |

My theories as to why this is are: 1. A lot of people on this forum did not really think through moving, i.e. they didn't realise that things are Different in a foreign country and that people here speak Swedish, and they prefer to blame Sweden for their lack of planning. 2. A lot of people on here live in Stockholm which must be wretchedly depressing, judging by how many of them grumble all the time. (One or two exceptions of course.) 3. Some people use the forum to let off steam, so come across as negative because they only really post when something has annoyed them. Glad your tooth thing went well and hope you don't need it pulled. If you do, and you're anything like me and get very nervous about dentists, you can consider Ordontologen as they specialise in nervous patients and will send you for a general if you ask for it. I just had one (for root canal work, not even an extraction, I'm such a wimp) and it was the best choice despite the cost. |

Hey! A lot of people are asking this question during the years on this forum. So even if the answer is late i will still reply, because people end up here anyway
I would recommend a new tandl?kare i centrala g?teborg called G?teborg Tandl?kargrupp. They have really modern offices and are specializing in what we in sweden call tandl?karskr?ck, being afraid of the dentist. The also have really long opening hours, with emergency, akut, dentist ready to help you. You will find them here. https://www.goteborgtandlakargrupp.se/ Good luck! |
