Hey Guys,
I am a UK and Australian qualified plumber with 11 years experience looking for work. I have done domestic, commercial and industrial plumbing work, kitchen and bathroom fitting, tiling and have good concrete work experience. I moved here a week ago, to Boras - just outside Gothenburg and I am waiting to get my corporation number and personal ID number. I will also be enrolling at SFI as soon I have the above numbers sorted out. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on getting jobs, not even as a plumber, I would take anything in construction or anything in general at the moment.I went into Adecco and they refused to even put me on their books as I do not speak fluent Swedish yet, I am hoping that this is not the general attitude of most of the Swedish employers. Any advice is much appreciated David |

Forget Adecco, Manpower etc. There is a shortage of plumbers in Sweden and companies have recruited people from Poland and Germany. My advice is contact all the "VVS" companies in your area. The most important thing is that you have a licence. Good luck |

You will have to get your AU's/UK licence validated on Sweden AND be able to speak Swedish.
