Good day,

Maybe somebody had same problems or will have some advice, apart going to court.

We were renting a house, but now we are moving from it. We have informed the owner about that, agreed with that 3 months rent. Payed with no excuses (even don't know if we informed owner on 20th of March, does it counts until 20th of June or 30th of June), cleaned the house but the owner was not happy, okey maybe our understanding about what is clean is different, so we payed 4k kronor for flyttst?dning, but still can not finish with the owner.

Now he is not happy because he finds some spots on the walls (even in places where his own furniture was standing or paintings hanging), some old holes in the walls (we never put anything on walls, it was even before we moved in, and I could really find some pictures with it). So now he didn't find new tenants and it feels owner wants to make renovation from our money...

Of course, you can say the story is one sided, and I can not argue. But maybe you have some advice in this situation? Or maybe point to some institutions which could help us?

Thanks in advance.

If you had three months notice and gave notice on 20 March, then the date will almost always be 30 June, not 20th. Standards of cleaning expectations are very high in Sweden, so it is probably to be expected that you had to pay SEK 4,000. As for the other stuff, well it is up to you to contest it if you feel it is unreasonable. Take photos etc. and document your reasons for not paying. Only a court will be able to decide if it normal wear and tear.
