I have a job offer for a gross monthly of 41000 SEK in gothenburg, which i guess would come down to 29000 SEK after tax. Is that right? and if so , then is it good enough for a family of two? Would there be any savings? I am looking to rent out a small studio apartment which can accomodate me and my wife, so how much should that cost us? And also what are the travel costs in and around gothenburg?

It all depends on how you live now, how far you want to live from the centre and your expectations on future lifestyle.

Blocket, Samtryyg and Qasa for example will list houses for you to check rental prices.
V?sttrafik's website has all the ticket price information you need for buses, regional trains and trams.
ICA, Hemk?p, Willy's & Coop all have websites that you can use to check the price of groceries.
