On one side of the coin I hear that these no go zones exist in major cities of Europe and Sharia law in being put into place and the other side refutes this and says there are no such things.

Does anybody know the truth?

In the late 70's in London there were eg Peckam North Estate, Broadwaterfarm Estate but the police went in and fixed it. There really are no places like that anymore. Recently Manchester was quoted but that is rubbish. In Sweden, basically you are lucky to see Swedes. There are no go areas because people are scared of the foreigners but most of the time it is paranoid thoughts

Maybe somewhere in the middle...

I'll bet there are not as many arrests in Rosengard as there should be...no sense in annoying the inhabitants unnecessarily now, is there???

Here is the report from the Police about the 55 areas in Sweden where they have difficulty because (criminal) gangs kind-of control the area:

"No-go zones" are highly exaggerated. There are areas which are less attractive, with higher crime than usual, but they are hardly no-go zones. The fire brigade and police have been met with stone throwing in some cases and cars have been set on fire, but it is nothing that deter them. People can normally go to these areas without any problem, it is just the authorities that have been met with problems sometimes. The cause is usually criminal gangs and it is not related to Sharia law or muslim extremists, just criminal gangs.

The simple fact that many of these criminals have Middle Eastern background does not make it a religious issue. It is just criminals.

You can go any place in the Republic of Jamtland, at any time of day or night, without fear of violence or intimidation.

We like to say "If you get into trouble in Jamtland, you probably brought it with you."

I have to say that I stay the hell out of Kista. Last time I was there, this is what happened to me.

>>>Hey, what has happened to our ability to post pictures? How can I be expected to "work" under these conditions? It is not much of a sight gag if one is not seeing the picture.

Welcome to the TL of today - no comments on news items, no images showing with the text. The whole thing has gone up the creek and no bloody paddles allowed. Even Ollie Gee has cleared off to France.

Fox news tried saying that Birmingham, England, was one of those no-go zones. I spend quite a lot of my time in England in Birmingham. It's a 20 min train journey for me and a lot better for events than anywhere else close by.
It's utter nonsense.

There are, of course, like all major cities, some places which are less desirable but they are certainly not running to Sharia law - the fox dude even tried saying police beat people for not wearing Muslim attire! What an idiot.

"No go zones" is a misnomer anyway. One can certainly look at the numerous instances of burned vehicles, smashed bus windshields, and emergency vehicles pelted with rocks here in Sweden, or events like the horrific, systematic abuse in Rotherham, and observe certain trends. And certainly there are many immigrant-majority schools where the teachings are in opposition to the tenets of Western Civilisation. This does not mean that non-immigrants cannot enter those areas, just that traditional cultural norms and the rule of law have been significantly degraded in those areas.

Well put, Gus.
And yes, they may not be No-Go zones as such, but simply by the attitude and even actions taken there by some of the fanatical types, the indigenous population 'prefers' not to go there, putting it simply.

A couple of decades ago the police chief in the area where I grew up in England, when asked by a journalist about an identified police-no-go-area, immediately replied:

Absolute rubbish, there is no such thing as a police-no-area, what you are referring to is an area of extremely low response times.
