Balconies generally are of two types. The better ones are solid and have gaps around the edges, the cheaper ones are wooden and have gaps between the bits of wood. It is impossible to clean them without water dropping down around the edges. What are they suppose to do....not clean them. You are being unreasonable.

With high power water gun is ok? All balconies downstairs were flooded. No one else did that! And they received a warning from the housing community afterwards. |

And paranoid... They did call social service to falsely accused me of child abuse....and they did the same to another neighbor because we complained most about our flooded balconies, and sadly despite being warned by the housing community a few times with warning letters, they still continue. I wonder if any warning letter is effective since we don?t live in rental apartments, no one will be kicked out from self- owned property. If summer is to water flowers and clean, then who will pull buckets and buckets of water to get rid of snows on balcony really? |

QUOTE With high power water gun is ok? All balconies downstairs were flooded. No one else did that! And they received a warning from the housing community afterwards. Quite honestly, yes I would say that this is OK once a year. Particularly on the top floor balconies get covered with moss and using a high power water gun is one of the few ways to get the moss off. I use one myself and usually try and do it when it is raining because it is impossible to stop all the water flowing down to the balconies underneath. I am actually surprised that the association even sent out a warning letter. They would be better allocating a specific weekend once a year for cleaning balconies. As you say, no one would ever be forced to sell their apartment for this sort of thing and neither should they. All parties have to work out a reasonable solution. |
