Hello,
I hope this is a straight forward question. Like others who engage on this forum my husband and I are looking to move from the U.K. to Sweden in about 12 months time. We hope to buy a farm and keep red deer, with a view of generating a business from it once we are settled and with more capital behind us. In the U.K. we can put up tall stock fencing to keep the deer in. Whilst travelling round ?stersund, and the surrounding area, we have seen the traditional wooden fencing and electric fencing. Is tall stock fencing allowed providing we put in gates to allow people to still walk freely though the land? I?m sure there are rules and places we could look for local regulations but our Swedish is not quite yet at a level where we can fully watch and anderstand an episode of Mamma Mu...! And we are trying to build ourselves a picture of what we need before we move and things we need to do / and understand for after we arrive. (I like to prepare as much as possible!) Many thanks in advance |

We have deer in our vilage and they have a high stock fence around them. Also with Alpaca I have seen have pretty high net fences. Why should there be gates for people to walk through your property? I presume it is farm land and not forestry.
Edit. I also remember seeing a deer farm just outside ?nge. |
