Why do you have to be so aggressive and personal?New Zealand and Australia are isolated as islands and managed to keep it out. Singapore also isolated itself. But once exponent

Pure stupidity.Your next door neighbours are not overwhelmed.Copy them. 13000 deaths later, tegnell and his fellow morons suddenly say wear masks as much as possible etc.Bit late for that.Imbeciles. |

https://www.expressen.se/ledare/anna-dahlbe...k&social=fb. Whoop there it is... Yes, there you go. And what are swedes doing about it? I'll tell you what they are doing: Sitting next to people on the subway by choice, ignoring social distancing.Because the most important thing in the world is to get a seat. Last week in a supermarket, I had to tell a swede to please respect distancing and move back and away from me. Yesterday, in a public library in stockholm a swedish woman was sneezing and coughing and using the computer. After using the computer, she sat somewhere else and casually read some magazines. No one said anything, the staff did and said nothing.Despite there being signs saying do not come into the library if you have any illness or symptoms at all. The swede does this because tegnell and govt have given them signals which say covid isn't serious really. It's not really a big deal etc etc: Approaching 13000 preventable deaths. Yesterday tegnell said it's ok to go on sportlov holidays because covid is all over sweden anyway,so people are not going to spead it to places it does not already exists! And this is the man leading the swedish strategy! Almost 13000 dead. The pha also said just don't go if you have any symptoms. Don't these morons know that as much as 1 in 3 covid infected people are symptomless and feel fine? Why don't they just say don't go away for sportslov this year? |

Why don't they just say don't go away for sportslov this year? Because it likely doesn't matter. Sportlov in a town or city, versus outdoors and living in your own cabin? France, Germany, Spain; lockdowns galore, no schools open, curfews etc.. covid is still rife. It's just too infectious, one trip to the supermarket, one person catches it, gives to the rest of the household and on it goes. Ps. It's too warm and the skiing is shit just now, they should have gone 2 weeks ago. |

QUOTE As the article says, it will indeed be ironic if the great Swedish experiment results in us all sitting in lockdown whilst people in the UK are starting to go to nightclubs. |

If it's so infectious, you should actually try to stop infecting people. That means not infecting all the people and environments a person encounters whilst travelling to sportslov. That's very obvious.Except to swedes, tegnell and some people on this site. |

QUOTE Uk lockdown has still resulted in 500-1000 deaths, every day, since November. The number of deaths in the UK is certainly very high, higher than Sweden by quite a bit. The reasons for that may be many and have been well discussed here. But Sweden's performance is truly pitiful. And you can't really explain it away by Sweden being a small country. Look at Iceland for example ...half a million people and a truly exemplary performance in dealing with covid. |

The scale of cluster fcuk varies. The big lesson is next time ignore the eu, the who, and shut borders and stop International travel immediately. Produce your own ppe reserves and have a vaccine production capacity. |

WOW what a WONDERFUL Swedish health care expert!!! I always thought that a medical doctor should have a code of ethics to want to SAVE lives, not KILL them!! Oh yes, but not in Sweden obviously from this statement!! So, just spread the virus, let people die, let people suffer the long term consequences of the disease....... what's worse, the Swedes defend this ..... Jantelagen in all its glory!!! Think only of yourself, and there is never a need for any empathy, sympathy, care or concern for another... just yourself. So, when you die, or are suffering long term effects, no one will care for you. Wow, wonderful Swedish culture..... I don't envy you!! Drink, get drunk, be high and happy, because there ain't no one that's gonna care for you ..... definitely not the government to whom you pay exorbitant taxes !! |

Ever skied in sweden, stayed in a cabin there? You can ski all day, every day and be as far from anyone as you wish. Much easier to social distance there than in a city. Folk who are crap at social distancing will do it anyway, doesn't matter if it's sportlov or not. |

Dear Railman, I must apologize if it felt like I was being aggressive and/or personal as it was never my intention. I was just being sarcastic. Thanks, I appreciate that. I agree that the recommendations are constantly changing and I'm not sure how people are supposed to know about this. Most people probably don't spend their time glued to FHM's website or watching their press conferences. |
