How about you answering the same questions first? You started a thread about something and you failed to lead by example. |

Date of application: 2015-03-26
Time spent in Sweden: From 2010-08-22 to 2012-10-22 as a student. From 2012-10-23 and on as sambo. 3 years, 6 months, 18 days Date of decision (if made): Still waiting (13 months, 15 days) Based on sambo. When I called MV in past March they said they were looking at applications from February 2015. I asked my sambo to call MV in past April and they told her that they were looking at the applications from JANUARY 2015. MV is not trustworthy and full of incompetency. They say the decision times are longer because the case officers at the citizenship unit started answering phone calls and this is now half time workload. As an applicant, I knew I was going to wait more than 12 months so I applied citizenship 2 months after getting my permanent residency. When my sambo asked why they didn't reject my application, they told her that there was nothing wrong with the application but the time spent (2 years + 5 months) in Sweden wasn't fullfilled so it ended up waiting in the so-called "long decision-waiting queue". I have a friend who had the same situation as me and he completed his time in Sweden 3 years as a sambo with a full time job and applied 1 year after getting his permanent residency. In the end, he waited 14 months to get his citizenship. (3 years > application > 14 months waiting = 4 years and 2 months in total) It doesn't matter if you meet the time requirement or not, you have to wait regardless. MV gives you the citizenship as they please. |

They have all my information already but was worried if I delayed in sending it in would cause any issues . |

No, when your application will be in process they will send you letter about your passport, PUT card and if any more document required from you. Also you can take passport back if you need it. |
