Busy busy at the mo but hope to make it on Friday...

Looking forward to my beer from that Blowbilge chap cool.gif

I know plans are for Swedes but think on about a location for after O'C's as they close when you're just getting lubed...then there'll be queues elsewhere.

Somewhere på söder? Kvarnen??

I understand that Grandma Death is pretty particular about where she drinks; let's just see if she might have any suggestions that would suit all...
(Personally I don't care; wherever they sell beer will do.)

Nice one. I hope you drink more than what your name is backwards, if that makes any sense.
No? Good. tongue.gif

I'm happy to go with the majority.
On the condition that it doesn't mean too long between beers; I have a reputation to uphold, and I do not want to lose too much of my hard-earned street-cred.

C'mon Cantona, should be a laugh. I'll even make sure to take your horse some water as it sits outside in the car. smile.gif

I actually enjoy Kvarnen quite a bit. O'Connell's ... not so much. dry.gif

I'm just one voice in a herd of many, so don't just go on what I think. O'Connell's is a fine place to start at—it's just not my "type" of bar, if you catch my drift.

Starting to sound like Kvarnen will be the place to stumble to after O'C.
Who wants to carry me there?

Well to be honest, I don't hang out at either place. However, I get the feeling Medusa isn't the type of bar most people will want to have a few "pints" at—so I'm willing to just go where ever the crowd goes (if I can make it).

Actually intrigued with Medusa as never been in but often large queue 'by that stage'. Very close too - even if it is a bit high class for most of our lot.. a bit small too? No idea..

Could maybe get a few on the door at Kvarnen

Haha. Medusa is definitely not high class—for good or bad. It's just a rock bar, and it has two levels. The top floor is fairly small, but the dungeon-like basement is fairly large. I really like the music they play there, the drinks aren't too expensive, and everyone that works there are really friendly—especially the bouncers which is a big bonus in my book.

I've had mixed encounters with the doormen at Kvarnen. It's fairly difficult to get into as the clock ticks past 11 or so, and it's super crowded at times so I don't find myself in there very often. I also don't have a problem going to any of the places on Götgatan (as long as it's not Fenix). I like most of the bars near Skåneg as well, and I like both Debaser bars.

I also like Kelly's, but from what I hear on this forum some people aren't big fans.
