There's a guy I work with who swears by this "paleo" diet. And yet I see him eating packaged food and juices. If he really wants to eat like a cave man, he should just out into the woods with a sharpened stick and see what he can dig up.

Personally, I think it makes sense to eat a diet that is sympathetic to our evolution. I avoid packaged and low fat food, and have returned to butter. But have not yet managed to give up white bread or sugar in my coffee. I bought a book on the Paleo diet, but didn't get beyond the first few chapters.
One diet that I followed years ago and was easy to get good results, is called Food Combining. You simply avoid mixing protein and carbohydrates on the same meal. |
