Sick laws in Sweden

You know when you establish a law, some holes are discovered as you cannot cover 100% of everything.

This thing in Sweden has made a lot of discussion and debates around it, and here are few examples to very weird laws present in the state of Sweden:

1. If you have for some reason a plain of ice which someone steps on and falls, you as the owner of the property will have to pay the penalty of up to thousands of kronor (Swedish currency of which you hopefully know). This applies even if the victim of the injuries has broken into your house and taken stuff out of your property.

2. You are only allowed to purchase strong alcohol after you have passed the age of 20.
However, you are legally allowed to drink it after you've passed the age of 18.

3. You are allowed to buy cigarettes and snus when you're under 18. You are though not allowed to sell to someone under the age of 18.

4. You may sell sex. You may not purchase sex.

I'm sure there are a lot more laws to mention, but as we swedes say "Jag orkar inte".

Please comment, add more. =)

Curious topics and laws.

Could that be Swedish dualism?

I don´t know if the law exists, but what do you say when you cut your finger in a store and they deny the access to their W.C to clean the scar?

Or, what about selling food in a restaurant and not offering the the w.c service as well?

You can´t wash your hands, you can´t pee...grrrrr...sukcs!

Sweden is, I think, the only country in the world where it is illegal to have drug metabolites in your body.
The cops can drag you to the station, make you piss in a cup, and if its positive for anything, prepare for a fine, them taking your license and repeated drug tests to get you into the system. Guilty until proven innocent.

None of them are strange to me. Number 1 simply says that you must do something about ice on your property. No exceptions.

It is also not legal to boobytrap your car in a way that a car-thief will injure themselves.

If this isnt sick i dont know what is,

Currently, the legality of bestiality varies greatly around the world. It is legal in some countries, such as Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands, while it is illegal in Great Britain (for penetrative acts), Canada, and much of the United States and Australia. Countries such as Belgium, Germany and Russia are in between the two as they permit sexual activity with animals but strictly prohibit the promotion of animal-oriented pornography.

Notable legal views include Sweden, where a 2005 report by the Swedish Animal Welfare Agency for the Swedish government expressed strong concerns over the increase in reports of horse-ripping incidents, and gave as its opinion that current animal cruelty legislation needed updating as it was not sufficiently protecting animals from abuse, but concluded that on balance it was not appropriate to call for a ban. [24], New Zealand where the 1989 Crimes Bill considered abolition of bestiality as a criminal offence, and for it to be treated as a mental health issue.[10] In some countries laws existed against single males living with female animals. For example, an old Peruvian law prohibited single males from having a female alpaca (a relative of the llama).[11]

They are obviously keeping boobytraps in the laws of Sweden, as you may see. When the group of people who decides which law applies here, they only see it from one angle and not from many, as you obviously can tell.

My point is if you get robbed and stuff, they might even set your house on fire, but he falls and breaks a bone, you will have to pay it since it's your property. In the longer run, this means you are responsible which will mean the paycheck you will have to give is not going to soft on you.

The problem here isn't with Sweden. I'd look askance at the countries that actually have to make laws about this. According to your cut and paste, the Brits can play salt-lick with a whole flock of sheep as long as there is no penetration and in Germany you can fsck your dog just as long as you don't film it, and you are claiming Sweden is messed up? lol

Beastiality is legal in quite a few states in the USA and Kansas allows adults to marry 12 year olds.

I'm still trying to understand the toilet situation here. Does it seem normal to most that charging for the use of the toilet is perfectly fine? Is this possibly the reason that it smells like piss in every stairwell and doorway. I walked past a guy pissing beside a parking meter on a main street downtown Stockholm 15:00 the day before Christmas?!? What is up with that?
