The USA loves a Hollywood movie ending, the American dream. The idea a person can become a movie star then senator, mayor, president.. or inherit daddies money whilst organising beauty contests.. they ignore the fact most are trapped in a job with limited annual leave and desperate for any work that has healthcare included. If a president can please the happy clappers religious groups and the gun groups then happy days. Considering the so called founding fathers said the USA should be secular you won't find a president who didn't say God bless America to please his voters, and it will be his, the USA is still a long way from a female president.

The difference is measures in sweden are pretty much the same now as in April, a sustainable plan that isn't changing weekly or monthly so folk can follow it, businesses and work places can plan around it. Look at some other countries they are all over the place in the last 3 months and it hasn't gained them anything. Sweden could continue its current measures for another year if the vaccines fail to deliver, most other countries in Europe aren't in that position just now.

The Swedish approach was very successful, if you ignore the thousands of deaths.

The truth is nobody can fight this thing and win...the most severe measures wreck the economy and people die from things that don't get treated because of the virus and a lot more...Here in New York, 66 percent of those that meticulously followed lockdown rules and stayed inside their homes became infected!!!

I leave you with this:...If everybody knows how to stop this thing and Sweden does not, then tell me why it is still spreading???

Why is it still spreading... It's doing precisely what viruses have evolved to do over millions of years. Replicate using a host, don't kill the host until you've multiplied and spread to new hosts, a balancing act. We encounter 1000s every year and 99.99% don't harm us.

Thank you...

Agreed...

I stated before a while ago in another thread that these things are unstoppable without vaccination and will continue to infect until they tire out and disappear and probably rise again to infect new generations...this is the natural world we live in...

So be it...

Interesting how everyone seems to gloss over the 1000's of unnecessary deaths in Sweden due to its handling of corona that didn't happen in all other (very comparable) Nordic societies.

Sorry, what exactly was the benefit of Sweden's approach? Herd-immunity? Nope. Saves the economy? Nope. Protects the vulnerable (which they aptly identified)? Nope.

And by the way, comparing with UK, Spain, Italy? Bravo. Cherry-pick the worst cases, et voila, anyone can look good.

Also interesting how they mandated elderly to die, with a shot of morphine as they suffocated to death, rather than admit then to a ITC system with a 20% vacancy rate, and you tards all think that is right on.

Anything to protect the bullshit image of Sweden as some kind of holier-than-thou place.

You're a pathetic lot.
