OP, realise Gamla has never lived in Sweden by his own admission. He also believes Biden stole the election (he is a stop-the-steal Trumple supporter).

After suffering that place for 6 years, I have made it a mission of sorts, to spread the word to avoid it at all costs.

I have nothing invested in the land of the Meatballs. I left. But I feel obliged to warn you, it is more than likely going to be a grand waste of time and money for you and your family. And that is a best case scenario. Myself and my wife are highly educated and could get out easily (we are still abroad, just in a way better place), but even that took time. It can be incredibly difficult though just to get out once you have finally sized it up for what it really is and desperately want to leave.

And its an expensive place. You will pay premium prices for what is often below standard.

Go there at your own peril. Listen, don't listen, no probs for me.

Or at least you can out every night and get pissed to drain out reality of living there.
A cold, ungodly, cursed land that?s what it is and that?s how I remember my time there. Unfortunately we?re under lockdown here at the moment but once we get that prick out of power and we realise there?s nothing to be scared of and have to live with it, Britain will return to normal.

People often think Danes don't like foreigners..Much of that perception is down to how their politics is reported abroad. In reality, my experience as a foreigner of both smaller towns,cities and Copenhagen has been very positive.And without a shadow of a doubt, it is better than Sweden and Swedes. To be honest,Swedes don't like anyone who isn't Swedish.Period.

In Denmark people were helpful, warm and friendly. My experience of Sweden generally is the opposite.

I don't know where you might be considering in Denmark, but Bilund has a very good international school and Bilund even styles itself as the "Capital of Children".
Copenhagen has a good quite new international school, Europaskolen /European School of Copenhagen.
If you want somewhere with good energy,good vibe,Copenhagen is very good.
If you want somehwere quieter, then Bilund,Kolding,Odense I like.

I studied at university in both Denmark and Sweden. Again Denmark was a much much nicer experience.

I left Denmark because of a relationship. Otherwise there is no way in the world that I would have left.

Oh and by the way, shopping is better in Denmark, especially the supermarkets. Supermarkets in Sweden are terrible.

It's not what you think and not what you read. I would have moved back to Canada in a heartbeat if I had had the opportunity.

The Catholic schools in Canada are ten fold better than the English school here ...again, talking from experience.

Yes, Sweden has quite a lot of immigrants, but,generally speaking, the great proportion of them come from about only 4 to 5 countries. This does not lead to a feeling or environment of multiculturality,diversity or cosmopolitaness.

In addition to this,Sweden is very segregated. There is very little inter cultural mixing.
Furthermore,the Swedish State and Swedish people, apply a great deal of pressure on immigrants,both formally and informally, to behave like Swedes to quite an extreme degree and this means that any possibility of multiculturality is actually squashed.

I have lived and worked in the UK,Luxembourg,Sweden,Denmark, Italy and Croatia and I have found nowhere to be as emotionally or culturally(in terms of one's own individual personal identity and heritage)as repressive as Sweden.

What is the average cost of living and what benefits are available for children.
We are planning to go to a English school, at least in the beginning. Is it something impossible, waiting list, etc?

Sweden does have good facilities for children, so too does Denmark.
In my opinion schools in Denmark are better too.
