The more people you kill the better you are thought of.

Kill a lot of people over time and you are called a serial killer.

Kill a lot of people at one time you are called a mass murderer...maybe now a terrorist...or freedom fighter...or crazy.

Kill a lot of people after attending a prestigious military academy and rising to high rank you may kill at the order of your political leaders without interference, because you are serving your country, and are ordered to do so.

Ordering generals and armies to kill people of a different race/religion, etc. was once called genocide, naturally politicians would not like to be accused with such a horrendous crime so they changed it to ethnic cleansing.

The poor guy only killed three people, why pick on him? rolleyes.gif

if you commit murder in the U.S, the least that you will be sentenced is 52 years if you are lucky

Unless you are a celebrity or get a plea bargain to get the charge reduced wink.gif

Also aren't many US sentences on a scale - such as 15 to life?

What annoys me the most is that criminals get "permission". Why? i dont get it. Recently a youth in a so called "behandlingshem" had day release and the warder took him to a shooting range and he got shot by the youth whom had a violent history.

Also in Sweden if you are sent to prison, lets say a year, you will be sent a train ticket and date that you should arrive as a guest in their fine establishement. When you are there you have your own room with all the tv channels and if your a sex crime inmate you can even have porno mags delivered. At the weekend you are allowed your lover to stay for a few hours in a seperate complex so you can hanky panky.

Talk about luxury. In the early 70´s there was a magazine called International Times that recomended drug smugglers to do their dirty business through Sweden as they would more or less live in a luxury hotel.

There is no punishement anymore not just in Sweden. Im not a great American fan but their system is alot better than the rest of the western world

If a crime is commited then do the time

There was a guy who had murdered two people living near us. We were all pretty darn uncomfortable. Then someone killed him...

ummm... well...

Streja, I like the fact that murders and rapists that have been executed by the state rarely commit additional capital crimes.

btw Pretty much understand you are doing well & happy(the sun is shining on you is this true?), hope to have the wife and me meet up with you some time in the future, but in the not to distant future I hope to see Princess P, Fishtank and the rest of the Gothenburg crew when spring time and the summer rolls around.
