Thats pretty cool. gmat is much essential for business and management students to get into top schools. However it is much more important if your selection is based on or to cover up low gpa. still i want to know how much your higher education credits are.? |

Marketing and Consumption - Gothenburg - in progress 4. International Administration and Global Governance - Gothenburg - in progress Crossing my fingers for at least one of those! I know two of them I'm not really qualified for so I'm assuming fairly soon I'll be disqualified. I just wanted to be sure I had four choices. |

International Project Management - Chalmers University is among the programs which has the most strength for applied applicants just like i have in my first priority and they are unfortunately +900 applicants this year. The competiton is tough however i have no clue how they gona make the ratings but it clearly shows you gotta have Good university credits, high ranked uni in your country, fullfilment of spec. requirements and good gpa. If you lack any of this , i wonder there would be an effect on MR to get admitted in your first priority but hey lets not assume something on your own, My friend has seen highly absurd and unexpected results from the universities. so yeah you have stepped into a system you cant trust on numbers and statuses, so lets hope for the good. ![]() |

Yes Rafael8 that is basically my "wild card" choice and I have a a VERY slim chance of getting in, which I knew when applying. But I knew they would just move on to my next choice if I wasn't considered (hopefully I was right and it won't have any bad results!). I won't be surprised or sad if I don't get into that, especially as I did my undergrad in Communications. I think my highest chance is getting into digital leadership or global governance. I'm glad I know about the merit system now! We don't use that in the US so that was new information to me.

I have been student of architecture(5 yr prog) and i intended to apply in international pro.man. chalmers but i had this feeling of not getting in due to reasons of my low cgpa than 70% aggregate and somehow managed to predict that theres gona be alot of students in pro management because its criteria is not so complex and mainly for all fields (mostly students dont give a shit about program, they just want to get in sweden, LITERALLY JUST ! ![]() |

Yes. I paid the application fees back in December mid and I applied for a different university. ( karlskrona) and got unqualified. So I changed my 4th option to karlstads uni and got qualified yesterday. May be that's just the bachelors 180 credits I got. Fingers crossed. |

So I take it the ones who have received their merit ranking are the ones required to pay fees?

Hi, I've applied for a couple of MS programs for this years entry, but I have a few questions which I was wondering if anyone could help me out with?
I'm a "mature" student (36), and as such, my original B and M. Eng. degrees (from the UK) weren't completed using the credit system used now, and my uni hasn't kept a full transcript either (I only did 11 exams in my whole university career, so it doesn't look that impressive either, although I did manage to get them to state that the language of instruction was English, so hopefully that fulfills that requirement!). I also have a PhD from a relatively good UK university though, and almost 10 years of industrial experience with some of it in the field I want to study, which I'm hoping will help a little. Do you know how these will be considered in the merit ranking system though? Also, do I need to go and try and get my parents to dig out my A level school certificates before the 1st Feb? It's been so many years since I last needed them, (and they date from 1999) that I don't keep a copy of the certificates myself! Do you think they will have a positive influence? My two applications are both listed as "In Progess" at the moment, so fingers crossed! |

Hey all, it's interesting to see that some people have already gotten a merit rating this early! Anyway, I've applied to Gothenburg, Uppsala, Umea and Lund - all are in progress. Good luck to everyone!
PS: who's applied for the S.I scholarship? Waiting on Wednesday! |
