Hello,
I have an offer to study a postgraduate (masters) science program at Edinburgh University in Scotland. I also have an offer to study a postgraduate (masters) science program at Uppsala University. In terms of reputation, which institution is the best option? Cost is not an issue. I am thinking about prestige and reputation /what looks best on my CV to employers. - Is Edinburgh University well known to most Swedes? (Or maybe they only know Oxbridge/London Universities)? Thank you. |

I have been to both cities.
These are my thoughts... Uppsala is very 'clean' and 'ordered' in the Swedish sense. Edinburgh looks great but is also very 'chaotic'. Uppsala may have a better quieter, learning environment. Edinburgh is quite hectic but also very touristy / lots of sightseeing. I think Edinburgh may have a better reputation than Uppsala University but I do not think the teaching will be as good? I am not so sure... Advice? |

I know nothing about Scotland, that being said - Scotland for sure. It's a no brainer.
