I was just wondering how easy (or hard) people found it finding work in Norrköping. I'm having great difficulty in doing so. My CV isn't too bad but there just doesn't seem to be any work here. I know that this is a common thing in the whole of the country but I can't even find a little job just to make a bit of money. It's driving me crazy!

Hello.

I just moved to Norrkoping a few weeks ago. Are any of you guys still here? I've met a couple of nice Swedes since moving here but am always on the lookout for more people to get to know. I'm 25 and my boyfriend and I moved here with his job - he's working a LOT so I'm trying to find some people to hang out with and maybe do a bit of exploring?

Hi

I have also moved to Norrkoping a few weeks ago. I am 24 and have moved with my boyfriend, but as he is Swedish I am finding it hard to meet English speaking people.

Did you move here to be with your Swedish boyfriend or to meet English speaking people?

This is Sweden and surprise surprise the vast majority happen to speak Swedish

Hi Samantha.

It's difficult to learn a new language - we only found out we were coming to Sweden about 3 weeks before we arrived so my Swedish is non-existent at the moment! I've found almost everyone can speak at least a little English if you are very apologetic about your lack of Swedish!

If you're up for meeting up, I'd be happy to. Drop me an email - jenna_chamb[email protected] and we can go for a coffee or something?

Hi Jenna & Samantha & any others still on the thread...

My name is Claire (27) and I am also currently living in Norrkoping with my Swedish boyfriend... I came over from London just last week to look for jobs etc. I was going to come on here today to check if there was still any English natives here in Norrkoping (as the topic started years ago) so it was a nice surprise to see your posts today!

It would be great to meet up with anyone for a drink/coffee sometime this week or next? My e-mail address is [email protected].

Claire

Hi All,

My family and I are hoping to move to Norrköping from Ireland in June of this year. I'm 40 years old and we have 2 kids, a boy 13 and a girl 9. My wife is from Norrköping and have been going over a couple of times a year for the last 18 years. I would love to meet up with some English speaking people for coffee/drinks when we get there. Are there any Irish people living in Norrköping? It would be nice to hear from anyone out there.

Richie
