Hi guys!

I'm not sure if this is exactly the right place for this post, but I thought I'd start with posting in the specific region section.

Hi Tom, I was in a similar position and found that it was a long road to getting a full time job.

After going through SFI I then started SAS completing Grund and 1 within 6 months.

I then did a course in CNC technology at my local college which included 3 months work experience at the end of the course. All 6 of us on the course got kept on in the companies where we had our work experience and from what I understand it's a similar story with many of the other courses that the college runs.

So I'd suggest that you take a look at what courses are available through Komvux at your local colleges and see if you can find something related to what you have experience in already that offers a work placement as part of the course.

It's no overnight solution but there is at least a good chance of getting a decent long term job.
