Hi,
Here is a little bit of an urgent question, thanks in advance! Situation: I was planned to fly back and be in Sweden on my last day of employment (31st October) and do all the necessary akassa application procedures on my first day of unemployment (1st of November). However, there is an urgent situation I need to attend right on 1st of November in a non-EU state. Question: As far as I know I can do all the applications online. Does it matter if I do them online from abroad and come to Sweden the day after? (which is basically a weekend) |

I am not certain, but I understood that once unemployed, it is in your best interests to register asap because there is a delay in receiving assistance anyway. So the longer you take to register, the longer it will be before you receive any assistance.
So registering the Monday after you are back (if that be the case) just means you are adding some extras days to your initial waiting time. |

You are not entitled to akassa for those days you are outside of Sweden because you are not available for work.
