Hej Hej,

I am new to Sweden, just here to get some advice on where to buy groceries, which brand label are better in quality.

Like Eldorado etc., is very cheap comparatively than other brands.
It makes me bit cautious whether I should buy or not, especially when it comes to food. Assuming cheap price may compromise quality

Share your comments and opinions for better understanding. Thanks

As has been said, you simply need to 'taste around' and pick out that which suits you best. For economical shopping you will need to use your feet - and those coupons. Eventually you will find shops that meet your requirements, and it won't be just one as they all have different catch items at different times, but in the main, try to find your favourites close to hand. Getting to be known as a regular often leads to a bit better service, and local small shops - although sometimes a llittle more expensive - need your support.
Just watch out for the 'door keepers' - - - rolleyes.gif They sit outside the shops with the most customers - Systemet, Coop ICA etc.

Also, most stores have two brands, one good and one cheap, eg. ICA Basic is the cheap one while just ICA is the good one. For most items the regular ICA brand is as good quality as any other brand. ICA Basic on the other hand is a hit and miss.

Just remember that - one man's fish is another man's 'poisson'. (Pardon my French).

Shopping has gone completely online these days. You can shop everything from household appliances to office supplies sitting in home. You can even import goods from abroad using the Internet. Online shopping not only makes shopping easy but also save a lot of times.

OP.

Beware, there are many versions of self rising flour...Don't get caught in a discussion about it here...It could be brutal!!!

Re the above, that is unless you are searching for 'Self raising flour'.

No...That is so yesterday...

The new culinary rage is automatically erecting flour...

It's main feature is a new descriptions of what it does...rather than old hat types of flour that claim to raise or rise, It elevates and heightens!!!
