I applied for citizenship October 31st and asked to send my passport November 3rd and yesterday I got my passport back from MV!
It still says pending so no decision yet , but did MV update that the sent the passport back in your system? It doesn't say anything on mine just that they received it. I did get a letter tho with the passport saying they didn't need it anymore. |

My English boyfriend applied for citizenship 31th of October.
Got request 3th of November to send in the passport. He sent in his passport the 6th of November and got it back less than a week later. How long can it take before desicion is made? Just saw the new "rules" for Brits that they need to search for uppeh?llsstatus from 1st of December even if they have PUT. Seem like a big extra job for Migrationsverket. So now I wonder if it's good or bad he got his passport back that fast. For Brits... https://www.migrationsverket.se/Privatperso...medborgare.html |

I am a UK national, married to a Swedish woman. I applied for Swedish citizenship to Migrationsverket on 31 September 2020 after 3 years of living in Stockholm with my wife and child. I was granted citizenship on 18 November. it took 49 days start to finish, which is great, considering the UK leaves the EU completely on 1 January 2021.

Hi guys
Anyone here can explain how to request MV to conclude the case? How do you write that and maybe you can share your letter? Thanks |

Are you asking how you can ask MV to reach a decision faster? You can't. Just wait, you are in a long line. Of course you can do it only once, if you have been waiting for more than 6 months. Just curious what people wrote in their requests and do you need to provide a reason? |
