Of course you can do it only once, if you have been waiting for more than 6 months.. Just curious what people wrote in their requests and do you need to provide a reason?

No need to provide a reason. Just write that you want MV to conclude your case since 6 months has passed.

You fill in the form that has no space dedicated to reasoning. Just put your information, sign and send.

Hi finally done with migrationsverket

Applied Jan 2018
Decision Dec 22/2020

Still awaiting for the letter due to holidays but got the confirmation via phone.

Never asked for conclusion of case as was not in such a hurry. Also my family got the decision on the same day irrespective of applying months apart.

Hej,
In March 2021 it will be 5 years that I have moved to Sweden on work permit. I already have PR. Now it is time to apply for citizenship. I have a question though.
Due to the nature of my job (export sales) I have been abroad quite often (370 days in total) during the past 5 years. However, none of these trips were longer than 42 days in a row but definitely more than 42 days in total during each calendar year. I have been reading a lot in this forum and people are saying different things regarding hemvist and what it really refers to. I just wanted to get a direct answer here if possible. Would you advise me to apply in March this year right away or would you suggest that I will wait for another 370 days and apply after hence increase my chances of getting a decision sooner?
I would appreciate your responses.
Thanks,

Hi,
I think you can apply now if you can provide evidence/documents that you have been out Sweden because your Swedish employer asked. But better to check with MV before doing anything.

Better to ask MV.
In my opinion you should wait until you fulfill the time more than 6 weeks per calendar year spent out of Sweden. Otherwise you may end up in longer queue. Better to wait in my opinion.

Hi all,

I hope all good with you and your family rolleyes.gif

I have question regarding changing the employer and job title.

Currently I am in sweden with work permit and I am here more than 2 years and I already once extended my UT card and after 1.5 year will apply to get permanent.

Currently got offer from different employer with a little bit different position, if I move to that company will it be issue for me when I get permanent after 1.5 year??

Thanks.

I have been working 5 years in Sweden and applied. Two days later I got an email for my American passport and just sent it in on Monday.

All signs point to a good quick decision, but last year after getting PUT (while my wife and I were in therapy) she realised she is gay and we separated. The divorce was finalised in August 2020 (6 months after getting PUT). I was very much thinking we would work through our issues until she dropped that bomb.

Will this cause a delay in my case? I don't even know if she is still in Sweden.

Exactly, should not have any impact unless you are her dependent.
