The Local _ Legal _ Branch or Limited Partnership

Posted by: crianp 6.Feb.2021, 03:18 PM

Hi there, I recently had our local representative apply to open up a branch of our Taiwanese company. The bolagsverket replied and said they need more information. That is fine since we were expecting that. Our local rep said it might be better to open up a limited partnership since it requires less documentation, is that the case?

It isn't really possible to answer your question without a lot more information, which I am not asking for.

The only part of registering a company that require paperwork is if you are registering for MOMS (VAT) but even then it isn't much.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I was speaking in general. Which would be easier to apply for. At the moment, given the disparities in business practice between Taiwan and Sweden, acquiring some of the documentation for opening a branch has been exhaustive. The limited partnership seems easier. At least on paper anyway.
