(edit title) Comparing ISP Service Site who compare ISP for an adress? Options

Hej,

I'm moving in Sweden in the next few weeks. I planned to get Internet but I don't know wich ISP to choose (or wich ISP could be available) for my adress. I will live in H?ssleholm not in a big city and I would be really happy to get fiber

On most isp sites you can just enter your adress and you will see what type of service they can provide (this is not always accurate and updated, sometimes you can still get fiber etc.) I would go with one of the following providers in this order:

http://www.bredbandsbolaget.se/

http://www.telia.se/privat

Its all personal preference, but in my opinion these are the best. I know customer support at Bredbandsbolaget is shit now a days but speeds and prices are good. my ping in games with Bahnhof is around 5-15ms, also reliable speeds. Telia would be the tier one carrier, high prices but reliable. In my opinion Telia is a bit overpriced, I havent had connection issues in years except for electric blackouts in my city.

Also depends if you are moving to an apartment or a house. Apartment blocks are often fibre-linked but only via one supplier - at least where I live comhem.se is the most common. If you are moving to a house, then fibre may not be installed, and unless there is a cabinet nearby, may not be possible. Depending where you are, having a fibre connection into the premises put in can be a large (10-20 kSEK) investment. My house is fibre-linked (yeh!) but limited to only the one supplier who did a deal with the kommun.

Bahnhof seems not to work (only in big cities?) bredbandbolagets seems to work but don't mention fiber...

If it is a private landlord, and you are getting a first-hand (ie real) tenancy, ask them directly. If you are subletting, ask the tenant. If you're subletting "illegally" then contacting the landlord probably isn't the best idea...

Just walk around with your smart phone and check the WiFi connections.
The names of the spots will show you soon enough who is the main provider (in my area it's everywhere Comhem).
