I don't think age is a factor. I mean, what difference does it make to the victim whether she is raped by a 15 year old or a 19 year old?

However, the whole situation stinks and I think that the Swedish government should be tried for crimes against its citizens for inflicting this damage.

What do you mean underage? Age of consent in Sweden is 15. She didn't give consent because she said no, but not underage.

Well maybe "minor" is a better word to use to describe the girl. But I dont think it would have mattered to this migrant if she was under 15.
The point is why did they put him in a home, which was designated for minors who have mental illnesses and need special care, without first assessing his age, its a crazy decision. And why the staff did not listen to the girls warnings about him?! Is there so many refugees/migrants that the staff have become numb to common sense. If the judge did not assess the age of the migrant in the case, he probably would of only gotten 6 months in jail and he would of been free again. In the US, age of consent is dictated on a state by state basis.

Regardless of age of consent, many states will prosecute if the perpetrator is over the age of 18. It's considered abuse of authority, when a legal adult does something to a minor.

That said, my opinion is that if they're going to be doing special circumstance for underage migrants, they really should be certain of the age.

Under 14-15 it's fairly easy to tell if they're still minors much of the time, but after that.. that's about when most boys are done with puberty.

Notice that all these problems are "unaccompanied minor" males.
