A word for the day: Misandry |

Misandry - to what extent do you feel it exists in Sweden?
(for those who don't know) - misandry is the opposite of misogyny) What made me think to bring it up here is two things: 1) an earlier thread where the 'Left party' had suggested boys be sent to mandatory feminism class. 2) I stumbled upon the Wikipedia entry for 'Misandry' and noted that were attempts to get it deleted. I find that interesting example of a totalitarian mindset that doesn't not tolerate the notion that life is a two-way street. (Similar to how some minority group members have the idea that it is impossible that they, as a minority, can be racist) |

I've xperienced a clear example of this.
Whilst visiting a gay and lesbian centre in England, there were signs placed around the building giving directions to a 'women's only space'. The closer you got, they started saying 'you are now 20 ft from the womens only space' 'you are now 10 ft away from the women's only space' etc... Scarey sh*t! :shock: |

just because students are given a mandatory feminism class does not mean that is anti-men. If employees are given a cultural sensitivity course does it make that anti-white???

There are words in Swedish that makes that look like "the".
Feminism is an academic subject, whether or not it should be taught shouldn't be open to debate. In political terms its like ignoring liberalism. |
