Hillary Lets the Jihadist Cat Out of the Bag

After four years of pretending there is no jihad against the free world, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blurted out the truth during her testimony on the Benghazi jihad massacre Wednesday: “We now face a spreading jihadist threat,” she said, adding: “We have to recognize this is a global movement.”

We do? Yet the Obama administration has for years steadfastly and repeatedly denied both that there was a jihadist threat at all and that it was a global movement. So far has the Obama administration been from acknowledging that there was a jihad threat that less than two months into Obama’s first term, on March 16, 2009, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano noted proudly that in her first testimony to Congress, “I did not use the word ‘terrorism,’ I referred to ‘man-caused’ disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.”

Even “terrorism,” absent a modifier, was a politically correct euphemism for jihad violence that demonstrated an unwillingness to examine the beliefs of the jihadists, for to have done so would have led straight into Islam. Those who described those dedicated to destroying the United States simply as “terrorists” generally did not want to admit that Islam had anything to do with that war. George W. Bush had started this ball rolling when he proclaimed Islam a “religion of peace” shortly after 9/11; however, Bush officials could and did explore the Islamic texts and teachings that illuminated jihadist motives and goals. Under Obama, it became official U.S. policy not to do so.

I think we were sufficiently warned on 9/11.

Nice, safe (cold) little Norway and Sweden should be smart enough to avoid letting Islamic immigrants into the country. Letting them is like inviting world war IV to be acted out in your own country. Sweden's neutrality will not be respected in this war and not even the winter is stopping them from coming.

exactly, the desire to renew the Caliphate and many attempts to target christian things like Xmas markets were happening long before 9/11 and the two different style targets and goals shouldn't be confused. The west's war on terror helped galvanise several different groups of terrorists and potential terrorists into one with a more common goal. Much of the problems have been exasperated by the wests actions, namely at the hands of numpties Bush and Blair. The wests love of christianity, despite being a relatively educated lot, plus the USA's desire to consistantly back Israel regardless of their actions, have played a major part too.

Much of it is our own doing, you remove a ruthless dictator like Saddam or Gadaffi, somebody else will fill the gap unless you stay around in ridiculous numbers to prevent it.. It's not rocket science.

I agree with you. If I was in charge I would get all Western troops out of Africa and Arabia as soon as possible with no residual forces. I would stop the drone strikes cold turkey. It's stupid to keep poking sticks into the hornet's nest. Let those people and their oil alone. Let them have their crazy religion in their own countries.

On the other hand, for the love of Pete let's not let these miserable cretins into our beautiful Western nations to get footholds, set up festering Muslim colonies, and live amongst us!

I agree with Gert Wilders we need to be thinking in terms of deporting all Muslims back to their countries of origin as soon as possible.

I presume it is OK to take the Middle East 's and North Africa's oil and gas for the past 40 or 50 years, pay them very little for it, use it to grow your nation into a world leader, but then not want anything to do with the people or their backlash?

And you wonder why there are wars? wink.gif

No, it was only OK when, at one point or another, the British invaded almost 90 percent of the world's countries, with only 22 countries escaping a visit. Only a few of the invaded states were ever officially a part of their Empire, with the remainder being subjected to military presences, threat of force, or sponsored piracy.

skogsbo, It takes a special kind of STUPID or someone that has been living in a cave not to recognize the riches heaped on the oil rich countries. You actually want us to believe that you are so ignorant that you do not know the kings and princes in the middle-east live in the most luxurious palaces.

Don't let anyone in but kill them take their oil is ok , most of the ppl who comes to this country are without family or anything that has been destroyed by your governments . A guy shots every immigrant in the country and they say he is a bit crazy but when a Muslim does a crime then lets send them all back . Iraq war was stupid and they had nothing to do with anything , US and UK gov killed 100. 000s of ppl and said sorry and Iraq was a mistake , sorry ?

I've been to at least 6 or 7 of said states or countries, probably about 2-3 years of my life spent there, yes rolling in it now, but you should look up the history of their first few decades of oil, they only got about 30 or 40% of the profit, most western oils companies became what they are today because it. It didn't settle well in the long term. Not just usa companies, bp grew massive from Iranian oil amongst others, being ripped off breeds long term hatred and now they have funds to fight their various causes against the west.

Jihad has been part of Islam long before oil was discovered. But oil revenue sure has upped the stakes.

I agree, the desire to restore the caliphate never left, but money, global travel etc has enabled it to go further. We've rubbed their nose in it too, not helping things either. Islam is also a younger more fundamental religion.
